Dubai, November 2019, Oil and Gas Law & Accounting Training – Nigerian Government Officials

Training is held for the Nigerian Gnment Officials, held by Petroleum Technology Development Fund, Nigeria.

Having an accounting background and experiences working both for the big four accounting firm (Ernst &Young) and oil and gas company, CNOOC SES Ltd. as an Accountant, as well as having an economic & management doctoral degree, I delivered a training on oil and gas accounting to the senior management of both the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation and the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission with the Petroleum Technology Development Fund.

This was a result of a good  job during an event in Abuja, organised by the International office of the University of Dundee, and an interesting talk given by Professor Raphael Heffron.

I am blessed to have this particular knowledge and skills, also experiences in the industry.  Having a broad knowledge of the industry does help to deliver the message and how to relate one area to another area.

The training was attended by 15 senior staff of the Nigerian Government. Professor Raphael Heffron delivered a training on the international issues of oil and gas law to start the session, and closed the training by providing and summarising the content of the training added with lessons learned for the country.

The participants were very active and engaged, regardless the technical training being delivered.  The training was a success, and they already want a Part 2 to the training session delivered.

Thank you for all participants, Mr. Ebi, PTDF and Prof. Raphael Heffron for making this training happened!
